Barrick Gold, Sibanye-Stillwater, AngloGold Ashanti and Perseus Gold CEOs join Nedbank CIB’s gold roundtable at the Virtual Investment Programme

Investing in African Mining Indaba (Mining Indaba), part of Hyve Group Plc, partnered with Nedbank CIB to announce the panel of CEOs for the CPD certified analyst-led roundtable.

Taking place 30 March at 14:00 (GMT+1).

Featuring CEOs including:

  • Mark Bristow, President and Chief Executive Officer, Barrick Gold
  • Neal Froneman, Chief Executive Officer, Sibanye-Stillwater
  • Christine Ramon, Interim Chief Executive Officer, AngloGold Ashanti
  • Jeff Quartermaine, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Perseus Mining

The turbulence and uncertainty of 2020 saw gold topping US$2,000 an ounce for the first time in its history. As vaccines start to rollout at varying speeds across the world, the gold rally has seemingly passed its peak and the focus of management teams has slightly changed with growth coming back into focus. Thus, gold companies are currently focusing on smaller, lower-risk projects with potential to start embarking on larger projects.

Now CPD certified, the roundtable led by Arnold Van Graan, Lead Analyst at Nedbank CIB will tackle the fundamentals likely to shape the gold sector in the coming years. Together with the CEOs of African gold producers, they’ll survey the current landscape and examine how the sector intends to trump its record-breaking performance in 2020 and remain relevant should the cycle turn.

The roundtable is open to participants of the Virtual Investment Programme, register for free now to be included in the invitation list. For more information, please click here.

The roundtable will coincide with the Virtual Investment Programme (launching 30-31 March), a two-day programme of highly targeted and optimised investment meetings and world-leading content exclusive for the global mining finance community as well as junior and mid-tier mining companies.
