The owner of this property is an Energy Engineer and thus very particular about energy savings and the energy efficiency of his home. Having had previous experience with REHAU uPVC windows and doors, he chose to use our product range again due to their vast range of benefits.
REHAU Authorised Partner, Glasfit, based in Brackenfell, Cape Town, manufactured and installed them.
Glasfit removed the old wooden window and doors over a few months to minimize disruption to the family during the project. All uPVC windows and doors were fitted with double glazing to achieve the maximum energy efficiency and increased safety. The owner furthermore required that multipoint locking espag hardware be used, as these further enhance the security of the windows and doors.
REHAU’s uPVC windows and doors are very durable and low maintenance. This means that they will last for 20 to 30 years and will never need to be sanded, varnished or painted. Dust can be removed with a quick wipe and the hardware will need to be oiled to keep them in perfect working condition.
