Ethiopia is prioritising rebuilding its streets for active transport (walking, cycling and shared mobility) to ensure a safer and more sustainable future for its towns, villages, and cities. An inspiration from Ethiopia’s leadership to accelerate and implement its strategy for non-motorized transport in its cities until the year 2029.
| H.E. Dagmawit Moges Bekele was appointed as Minister of Transport of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia in October 2018. Before her current post she has served as a Deputy Mayor and Communication’s Affaires bureau head of Addis Ababa City Government, Cabinet member of the City Government and Board Chairperson of Addis Ababa Mass Media Agency Board.
