Solar & Storage Live Cape Town 2025 is proud to unveil a powerful alliance of strategic partners, headline sponsors, and forward-thinking exhibitors who will take centre stage at this year’s event. Taking place at the Cape Town International Convention Centre (CTICC) on 15–16 October 2025, the exhibition and conference will once again bring together key public and private sector stakeholders to accelerate South Africa’s clean energy transition.
The Western Cape Government returns as Government Partner, reinforcing the province’s leadership in energy resilience and sustainable infrastructure development. About 1 000 MW of alternative power generation has been recorded in the Western Cape to date with the bulk representing small-scale embedded generation (SSEG) of
819 MW and the remainder comprised of wheeling projects. To bolster energy resilience, the Western Cape Government expects a further estimated 1 000 MW of alternative power in the short term from municipal procurement and generation and private sector projects. With these milestones, they are on track to achieve their 2035 target to enable 5 700 MW of new renewable power generation in the Western Cape.
The City of Cape Town also joins as Host City Partner, having recently implemented the first municipal utility-scale solar project in Atlantis, as part of its commitment to decentralise energy supply. These partnerships reflect a shared urgency to scale up solar deployment and diversify the local energy mix.
FNB comes on board as a Silver Sponsor, bringing its innovative Alternative Energy Solutions to the event, which enables individuals and corporates to install renewable energy systems to their homes and businesses, expanding market access by leveraging various finance solutions from FNB (including Home and Structured Lending, Connect,
eBucks rewards and WesBank Asset Based Finance). The bank partners with Solar Suppliers who are vetted, provides listing opportunity on Nav>> Marketplace directory and Product Supply & Services/Securitisation SPV partnerships to support broader energy adoption across various sectors.
The Development Bank of Southern Africa (DBSA), supporting as Associate Sponsor and also exhibiting, will highlight its role in financing embedded generation and bankable energy projects through a growing pipeline of climate finance mechanisms, including the Green Climate Fund and Just Energy Transition Facility. GreenCape joins as Green Economy Partner, fresh from helping shape the South African Renewable Energy Master Plan (SAREM), now ratified and positioned to drive green industrialisation and job creation.
Solar & Storage Live Cape Town also welcomes the backing of several influential industry associations. These include the South African Photovoltaic Industry Association (SAPVIA), the South African Energy Storage Association (SAESA), the Cape Chamber of Commerce and Industry, FEDHASA Cape, the South African Institute of Electrical Engineers (SAIEE), and the South African Renewable Energy Business Incubator (SAREBI). Together, these associations will lead content-rich dialogues around policy, finance, skills, and sector-specific energy adoption as part of the new Partner Dialogue feature.
The exhibition will showcase a wide range of cutting-edge technologies and practical solutions from leading global and regional players. Some of these exhibitors include Sungrow Southern Africa, who will spotlight its large-scale battery projects including the Red Sands BESS—Africa’s largest standalone battery energy storage system at 153 MW / 612 MWh. Local manufacturing leader ARTsolar will present its South African-made PV modules and expanding EPC capabilities, while GC Solar (PTY) LTD will highlight its installer training and franchise-driven distribution model.
Other notable exhibitors include ACDC Dynamics, Altenergy Power System Inc., Gripple Limited with its innovative solar cable management systems, and Reclite SA, which specialises in responsible e-waste recycling. Also exhibiting are Guangzhou Felicity Solar Technology Co., Ltd., HELUKABEL SA (Pty) Ltd, Innomatic Solar, Setetemela Industries, Zoey Energy, Solar Lane, Sunsynk, and PVH, which is globally recognised for its high-performance solar tracking systems.
Several innovative local and international companies will also be on display, including Mosebe Enterprise, Hillingdale Capital, Onvlee Engineering, Shenzhen Atess Power Technology Co., Ltd, Shenzhen Elecod Electric Co., Ltd, Shenzhen Smartkey PowerCo., Ltd, Zhejiang Narada Power Source Co., Ltd, ACCUENERGY, Easiwise, and Real Fire Suppression, start-up focused on risk mitigation for renewable energy infrastructure.
Together, these participants represent a highly engaged community committed to solving Africa’s energy challenges through collaboration, innovation, and market-driven solutions. With more announcements to come, Solar & Storage Live Cape Town 2025 is on track to be the most comprehensive and impactful clean energy gathering in the region this year.
